Bill Payment

PWSD #1 of Lafayette County offers a wide variety of convenient payment options for our customers. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs.

Meters are read around the 19th of each month and mailed soon after.  Pay your bill on or before the 10th to avoid a 10% late charge.  Disconnections begin the 16th and are made without notice.  Before reconnection all outstanding bills must be paid in addition to a trip charge of $50.00  Failure to receive a bill does not forgive the amount due.  If you do not receive a bill by the last day of the month, contact the office for the amount due.

Online Bill Payment

If paying your bill Online just click the green "Pay Your Bill Now" button.  Have your account information and follow the prompts. 

Credit or Debit Card

We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Discover credit and debit cards.  There is a fee charged of 2.5% or $1.75, whichever is larger.  This applies to online payments as well as phone payments and payments in the office at 210 South Third Street, Odessa, MO.

Payment by Phone

Please call the office at 816-230-7313 during regular business hours to pay by credit or debit card.  There is a fee charged of 2.5% or $1.75, whichever is larger.

Payment By Mail

If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five to seven business days before the due date specified on your bill. We do honor a legible postmark.

Automatic Bank Draft

The worry-free way to pay your water bill. With this service, the amount of your monthly bill is automatically deducted from your bank account and credited to your utility account on the due date. There is no set-up fee or charge associated with this method of payment. To set up Automated Bank Draft, simply download and fill out the ACH Recurring Debit Form (if available) located in the Forms & Reports Section and drop it off or mail it to our office, along with a voided check. 

Payment Drop-Off Location

You may pay your bill in person at our office address at 210 South Third Street, Odessa MO. We accept cash, check, money orders and credit/debit cards. There is a fee charged of 2.5% or $1.75, whichever is larger, for credit/debit card payments.  There is also a drop box to the right of the front door for after hours payments.

Payment Through Financial Institution Online Bill Pay

Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Normally, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Payments may take up to seven business days to post to the customer's account. Please consult with your bank for more information.
